A. I'm Laila, im 28 years old, im currently working in marketing for a starter pack company in crown mines, its challenging and fun!
A. I believe in making time for myself, need time to work, run jog, shop and enjoy life a little!
we spend most of our days stressed and live a life in a rat paced world, so balance is key, we just have to work hard enough to balance it all.
Q. What does your weekly fitness regime consist of?
A. Every morning i wake up and do a quick 15 min exercise regime at home prior to work, every Wednesday I run in Rosebank, followed by a Saturday morning run in Braamfontein. If you don't make time for yourself and look after yourself no-one else will.
A. I started running about a year and a half ago, I've always been into walking and exercising, then came across the nike rosebank runs, i found it challenging and invigorating! theres's no feeling like running, u feel alive! more and more i looked for runs, races etc.
Q. What motivates you to go out there, when you do not feel like it?

Q. What gives you the confidence to run in the streets?
A. The braamfie team is a family by now, I know they all there with me when i run, they support me and motivate me and i'm confident with them all.
A. I'ts very important in todays times for women to rise up to a challenge and not be walked on or over, running gives you inner strength and confidence, it gives you clarity and refreshes the body, mind and soul, that is what we women need! we need to learn to do things for ourselves and follow our instincts which sadly along the way we lose sometimes being in different environments. I think running encourages and boosts esteem and confidence
A. Faster pace and longer runs
Q. How do you envision the future of running?
A. I can see a trend of more and more runners, in SA we can have more runs and marathons we can combat obesity through sport activity and running.
Q. What do you think about the lack of exercise among the youth?
A. I'ts quite sad that the youth are becoming more addicted to tv then physical activity, however given the crime rate, we cant completely blame them. But i do feel that each and everyone has the ability to push their limits and make physical activity part of their regime.its part of life and health.
Q. What was your best running experience?
A. The very first nike night 10km run! it was amazing to see thousands gather for one event to run! to test thier limits and color the streets with their enthusiasm and passion for the sport!
