My name is Mostafa El-Marzouki,I live in Cairo, Egypt, currently I’m studying computer science- level four and I’m working as Full Stack Developer.
Q. How do you balance your exercise regime and your professional life?
I schedule two hours per day for doing workout, Running and bodybuilding.
Q. When and why did you start running?
6 years ago I used to do workout but unfortunately I had to stop this because of my study, since then I was doing workout from time to another. Just 2 months ago I managed to come back doing workout.
Q. What is the longest distance you have ran?
Since the come back the longest distance I have ran, it’s 6.14 mile in 54:22.
Q. What do you think about the lack of exercise among the youth?
That’s annoying me. Many people ignore such an important thing in life. They aint concerned about their health. How odd!
Q. What was your worst running experience?
Days before I made my comeback I was disappointed with my performance and I decided to get down and being running, and believe me I was terrible.
Q. How do you push through the pain?
I push harder; I motivate myself to keep fit. We must have the passion and the will to do things and put faith on ourselves that we can do it. We can do workout, we can go to the gym, and we can do the sport we like, because we decide who we are and what we can do! As Lance Armstrong said “Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever.”
Q. What advice can you give somebody who wants to start running?
