Totalsports hosted a race on the 9th of August in Johannesburg and Cape Town. I attended the Johannesburg edition and even though I was supposed to run. I decided to take a break from the streets and support from the side lines. 

With the tickets that the blog received, I entered my mother and my aunt into the race. They always have fun at this race. 

Meanwhile on the instagram account, I asked Kim from the pack and share her day...

On Saturday the 3rd of December, @mariewernert took over the instagram account and spent the day showing us a day in her running life. Her takeover was so good, I had to share it with people who don't have instagram. Unfortunately, We were not able to save her snapagram (instagram snapchat) videos, so make sure you follow @thatindierunner on instagram in order to not miss the next #INDIERUNNERTAKEOVER.

One of the toughest challenges I face when finding runners to blog about, is finding men to do an #INDIERUNNERTAKEOVER. Finding men who run, who can adeqautely handle an instagram account and are willing to takeover the @thatindierunner account is HARD. 

Luckily this month I have been blessed with male runners who are willing to undertake this task. So if you missed this, From Dubai last Saturday. See all the action below.

Every once in  a while we receive an email from an international runner asking about running with the Braamfie Runners. Tanja has taken to running all over South Africa. She has ran in more places than I have, she is even doing a 44km trail running event coming up soon.

A few months ago, I had the oppurtunity to interview Francine and I watched her prominence on the instagram running circles grow and grow.
