9 to 5 days got me on some kind of I want to sleep the whole weekend kinda tip. However, I will not let the #RunRevolution movement slip, even though I have been running less. Slowly get backing back into it slow and steady... 


Q. Tell us a little bit about who you are and what you do for a living?
A. I am Onthatile Ratshoafo and I am a Fragrance Specialist.

Q. How do you balance your exercise regime and your professional life?
A. I love exercising. So it comes first. Before work, I run in the morning or go to the gym later. There has to be movement at least five times a week.
Q. When and why did you start running?
A. I started running in 2005. To be honest I don’t know why I started running. I just woke up one day and I was like “I am going to run” and I haven’t stopped ever since.

Q. What motivates you to go out there, when you do not feel like it?
A. The post run feeling and when I see the changes in my body I get even more inspired.

Q. What is the longest distance you have ran?
A. 27 km

Q. What gives you the confidence to run in the streets?
A. I have been running for the past 14 years so it’s in my blood. I don’t have to think about it, I just do.


Q. What do you think about the lack of exercise among the youth?
A. It’s sad because they are applying for early death. Yes we are all going to die one day but we shouldn’t rush it. Hopefully one day we will have a large amount of active youth.

Q. What was your best running experience?
A. When I ran 10km under 40minutes. Ijoooo I was delighted.

Q. What was your worst running experience?
A. I wasn’t feeling well but I forced myself to go to a race and I had to walk most of the time.

Q. How do you push through the pain?
A. I am passionate about running so I take every pain as good pain. I work around it.

Q. What advice can you give somebody who wants to start running?
A. Get the right pair of running shoes and hit the road. Forget about who’s watching and focus on what you want.
