I've been running for 5 years (2008) when I had too much time on my hands finishing up degree with one subject left & I really needed something to keep me busy, lift my spirits and to also lose weight. Mind you before then I used to hate running but I needed to take myself to levels I've never reached just to prove to myself that I wasn't a failure. I fell in love with the outdoors and the feeling of I has after a run was euphoric.

Then I came to Johannesburg and by 2009 I had slacked and I really didn't quite enjoy running in between the traffic. My legs got hungry & I missed running I guess, so in 2010 I entered my first race Bonita's City to City that day a light that could never die down was lit. I developed a level of confidence that even Johannesburg traffic wouldn't stop me from running. It's been an amazing journey.

I've had two injuries thus far. Many funny moments and it's been great! I didn't go out running outdoors for 2 months, because winter. It's not safe for me as a female as it gets dark early and even mornings are dark. Even though I run with a club I can't in winter as they run at 5am and it's just too early and cold for me at that time.
