On who you are…

I see describing myself as a bit vain so how's about I tell you who I am based on what people often say about me, fair enough... Okay shuux! My mates call me "the bar one man" because according to them i am that guy in the room that has super hero written across his forehead. I'm very handy, I am naturally athletic and charming. I'm one to live by a mantra "nothing beats experience".. This basically says... I was that naughty kid. Yea I'm an ex hipster who loves coffee and music and I'm always writing thoughts and stuff. If I could I'd travel forever... And take pictures... I'm a sucker for spontaneous-ness-ness and stuff, I love adventure.

I think I'm a secret nerd... I've got tendencies.

I love what I do and hope it starts making me money soon. lol!!

On running…

Shuuux!!! I started running in school. Regrettably... I was one of those athletes that just never took it seriously at competition level. I've got tons of medals from my school days... Running was effortless for me though. Lol!! I remember we would have practice 3 times a week and I would only pitch to the last practice before comp day, just so to be allowed to run. But all in all, my average positions was 2 & 3rd place for the 1500m and 3000m. My 5km logs have been okay in the past.

However, that was a long time ago. These days I wake up at 4am... Take a nice 5-10km run. I make sure that my times are better and faster everytime. For me, running is a mental game because my body gets up for the challenge everytime. I'm winning.

On Street culture…

Street culture!! First thing that pops into mind is that word "hipster". Strange though... These streets are filled with a bunch of new age conformists. This may make me sound like one of those people... But being out of the ordinary was epic long ago. Hahaha there was no link between being hipster and exercise.

On Running culture…

These days running is the hipster thing to do... It's been coolified, get into a gym and its bearded dudes with long hair and tattoos getting their gym on. And hahaha... Take a young jog and its hun's in Nike runners and shot shorts and iPhones strapped to their arms. Well I guess that's good though... The Running culture has squeezed into other subcultures too, we are not unique anymore. Hahaha.

On gadgets…

Yiiiiikes!!! Okay boom... I'm an Apple Junkie. Hahaha... Did I mention that I love Apple? That Steve did us a great deal of saving. I do everything Apple. It keeps my life in sync. I use the health app to monitor my body and the Nikeplus app to log my runs.

On injury…

Does fainting count as an Injury? If it doesn't... I'll tell the story anyway... Hahaha... So I did this run once and I was determined to take first place. Little did I know that my competition is stiff. My parents came out to watch, this was the first time and I wanted to make them proud.

So the race starts and there shoots this guy ahead... Naturally I pick up my pace and start running at his. I pass him 200m in the race. Now I have to maintain first place.

Mind you... Slowing down is not an option here and I had noticed that if one doesn't keep a consistent pace throughout a run... It wears One down mentally and gradually forces you to quit or stop. So here I am trailing ahead of this guy behind me. His so close to me... One move from him and I'd take a trip to the ground. My breathing is as loud and cranky as my grans wallclock. And his breathing isn't helping me because it's against mine and that's playing with my mind at that time.

Eventually I open the gap once more... and now I'm sprinting with about a 800m to go... I take it full on and about 20m close to finishing... Wait for it....

I just blacked out.

I never finished that race. That was the hardest loss ever. I should have taken practice and my diet seriously.

On achievements…

All I have to my name is a bunch of medals from school days. Nothing too crazy. I've been out of the game for 5 years. But this year, Is about personal goals. Conquering those, is all the achievements I want. That is why I was so proud of myself this past weekend when I took second place for the 5km run.

On future goals…

Future Goals. Well... I just hope that God strengthens me because this year... I wish to see my little spazashop hustle kickstart. Total Game Changer.

I also want to Crossfit through... I started a while back.

I just want to live as best as I can. I want to be a better man to the world around me. I just want to make a difference.

On your social media…

Social Media... I'm an avid facebooker... Ja Suis... I write bibles out there. But I love sharing knowledge, that's why I'm mostly out on it. I instagram my life pretty much and Pinterest and Tumblr. Twitter... I have an account but it's not me that tool.. Noooor that life is not me... I troll on it though... Current affairs and such... That's all.

Running and social media... Well the NikeApp is my guy.

On Pink…

Pink? Is this a test... Hahaha!! It's a beautiful color... Hmmm... But closest to pink... I love Mageu but it's yellow.

On Pain…

*sigh* look... Pain... I think I've seen my fair share of it. "Nothing beats experience" I guess. Last year I think I must have felt it the most hey. But... But... Pain is temporary, allow yourself to feel it but never ever let it stand between you and your heart. Never let it stand between you and where you are going. Pain is a feeling we love to hate but it makes us stronger.

When I die…

Hahaha...I'm one of those guys that has attended his own memorial service. It was quite a strange experience. Anyway... When I die... I want all the people I ever said "I love you" to, to know how much I loved them and how grateful I am to have had them be apart of my life. I want them to know that I tried to be the best me at all times and I want them to forgive me for any hurt I might have caused them that I wasn't aware of. I want to get to heaven with all that off my chest. (I probably need to leave a note somewhere). This is a painful thought actually because there are people I desperately want to speak to and give hugs to but situations kind of have it otherwise. *sigh*
