27 years around the sun...

At some point, along this this bitch of a life (see what I did there?) you need to read more books. 

Anyway... At some point, Somebody decided that I needed to run. Which I have been doing for a solid 8 years now. I am still a three course meal and I think I will be for the rest of my life. So 3 orbits from the age of 30, what have I learnt about this life... 

1. It's temporary

  Circa 2017, there was a time when you almost would have made it to my funeral. In a nutshell, I should not be driving manual     cars because I am not friends with the clutch. In conclusion, I know what a burnt clutch smells like and can sniff it out        before your life is threatened. I'm hoping my coffin would have been rose gold and midnight blue or rose gold and black,          something fancy like that. 

  Circa 2020, the Rona hit us and reminded us that life is actually temporary. Our lives changed in a week, jiki jiki Sandton      traffic wasn't a thing anymore. 

2. Make time for people who make time for you

  Somebody once told me about a very successful woman, who said they review their contact list every year. They remove numbers    of people they feel don't contribute to their lives anymore. I think I used to be very social but over the years my social       circle has decreased. I think I am more about quality now than quantity. 

3. Alternative Income Streams 

  Should I drop a mixtape? 
  become a Tik-Tok influencer? 
  Start a youtube channel? 

  These are all questions that need answers with regards to an alternative income stream. Retrenchments are about to reach an all   time high. So I think about this all the time. In our next life, what will my side hustle be? 

4. Read a book 

  Every month, I go pay the accounts with my mother. I always land up in this one book shop where the staff knows me. I have       developed a relationship with one of the employees. She puts aside nice books she thinks I will enjoy and I swipe my credit      card. This has been happening for years now, I just counted 89 unread books on my bookshelf and there's still more in a box. 

  There's peace that comes from Yoga, there's also peace that comes from reading. You need to experience this peace...

  One of my life dreams has been to write at least 1 book, described as "quintessential"

5. Chase your dreams 

   Covid-19 shook us to our core...
   Now we are re evaluating our lives like, was that necessary? 

   In our new lives, post Coronavirus we will have a new opportunity to dance with the wind. 
   What's that 1 thing you always wanted to do, but never did? 

   Make It Happen.
