Adidas Boost Bloggers Day

Friday, October 14, 2016

This post has been a long time coming and I still remember this day as if it happened yesterday. Well it happened a few weeks ago and I will tell you all about it.

This year hasn't been a good year, I say this and refer it to running. I really have not been running and in the process I have gained a lot of weight. This is because I have been consumed bymy final year software development project whih you can view on www.geminicatering.co.za as I am typing this I am sitting on a 404 error and it is the hosts fault.

One day I was driving home from campus and  I was very tired, the type of tired where I am driving in default mode. I decided to stop on the way home and eat some dunked wings. When I eventually touched my phone I read a twitter DM from Karien P.  instructing me to enter this competition hosted by Touch Central and Adidas ZA. I entered through the app that same night and the next day I received a call to tell me that I would be in Cape Town for a day. Can you imagine my delight? I only go the airport once in forever, to drop somebody else to chase their dreams and now it was me :)

Friday the 23rd September took too long to arrive hey. It did eventually come around when the sun was creeping up, I was already at O R Tambo peeking at the sunrise from the airport windows. The flight was delayed, I am not even going to touch on this. I should just write Mango airlines a letter of complaint.

Arriving in Cape Town international airport, I got to meet the other winners. It turns out we were all on the same flight, we just did not know each other...

Cape Town traffic is BAD, but the views are Amazing. I always say Johannesburg is beautiful because of its man made structures and features but CAPE TOWN, CAPE TOWN is beautiful because of its nature. I love visting Cape Town...

So we arrived at the Adidas offices and we were treated to breakfast. The offices are very beautiful shem, I loved the  space we were in and the view. I finally got to meet Karien, A moment that  I treasure so much, she is a big reason why I started this blog. Throughout the course of the day we were presented with presentations from different bloggers and staff from Adidas

I gained alot from these presentations, I picked up tips on how to better my blog and especially, my social media. I never knew the value of @adidasza liking my tweet but now I know why they would like it and who actually sits there and likes the tweet

I finally got to understand where Adidas Running is going towards and got to meet some famous instagrammers such as teamhlasela and Letshego Zulu. Side Note: I will be attending a pop up gym session soon

The bubbly @teamhlasela

Sitting here 2 weeks after and typing this. I am failing to capture and emit the warmness and friendliness that I felt when I was among the people at the 3 stripes. I remember flying over cape town, looking at the lights underneath me and thinking "damn this friday was really amazing"

Thank you to touch central fm and Adidas ZA for the amazing experience. It was amazing and I would do it again in a heartbeat
