I feel like I need to celebrate the fact the #RunRevolution movement has more than 500 followers on instagram. Can we get it to 1 000 please? Tell your peoples to tell their peoples to follow us on TwitterInstagram and facebook

To celebrate this I chose a runner with the most heart warming smile. I see her running through winter in tights that are too cool for me. Which reminds me that winter is coming...

She is so cool, she ran a race as a roller coaster...

Q. Tell us a little bit about who you are and what you do for a living?

A. My name is Francine, and I am a massage therapist and esthetician. Right now though I am working at a medical spa as a receptionist and I’m in school pursuing my undergraduate degree in business management.

Q. How do you balance your exercise regime and your professional life?
A. As a mom of 2, wife, with a part time job and full time school, it can get crazy. I plan my runs ahead of time. Sometimes I might have to run on the treadmill to make it happen, sometimes I might have to run earlier or later than I would like but I’m committed to making it happen.

Q. When and why did you start running?
A. Running has been in my life for about as long as I can remember, playing soccer as a child/ teen and then as a US Marine in my early 20’s. I never really loved it though. My first race was a 5K in 2009, and have done many more since then, a few 10K’s my first half marathon was in 2012...but I really stopped running with any frequency shortly after. Last year I started my weightloss journey and running was my go to. Since then I’ve started running much more regularly and have been following a marathon training schedule.

Q. What motivates you to go out there, when you do not feel like it?
A. I’ve been very open on social media with my weight loss journey, and my goals for running. Because of that, I feel like I have a larger sense of accountability and also motivation that I receive from my friends and followers really keeps me going.

Q. What is the longest distance you have ran?

A. 16 miles!

Q. What gives you the confidence to run in the streets?
A. Seeing other people do the same, talking to others about running and getting out there and doing it!

Q. What do you think about the lack of exercise among the youth?
A. I think that they just need to have examples of people in their lives doing it, so they have the confidence and desire to pursue it themselves.

Q. What was your best running experience?
A. When I was living in Virginia beach, j&a racing put on the most awesome races. I did the wicked 10K both years I was there and the last time my friend and I dressed up as a roller coaster ride. It was awkward and bulky and hilarious. I had a blast.

Q. What was your worst running experience?
A. It involves a frantic search for a bathroom.

Q. How do you push through the pain?
A. I might think about someone who inspires me, or people that have told me I inspire them, and I don’t want to let them down or disappoint them.

Q. What advice can you give somebody who wants to start running?
A. Find a program/schedule that matches where you are currently. Whether its a couch to 5K, or something else, and try to follow it as closely as possible.

Q. Which Social media sites are you on and how can one follow you?

A. I’m on Instagram as @francine_askew,
